Looking ahead to 33

Tomorrow I turn 33.

CandlesLast year on the eve of my birthday, I posted on my Facebook profile about five of the top moments from being 31. Today, I continue the tradition. This time, I’m adding a bit of a twist.

While it’s great to look back, it’s sometimes even better to look forward. So, with that in mind, I’m going to reflect on my top moments of being 32, but also the three things I’m looking forward to after I turn 33.

My top three moments of 32
Becoming an aunt: First came Mason, then six months later came baby Belle. I love them both and cannot believe how much they’ve grown.

Going to Mexico: The last time Keith and I went down south, things did not go so well. Mexico was a trip that was healing and provided the two of us with something we needed. (It’s probably going to be our last trip as a couple for a long time, too.)

Learning more every day at work: I still value my professional development and love what I do for a living. I learn something new every day, and am so happy with my career change.

Three things I’m looking forward to when I’m 33
Becoming a mom: This little guy is growing every day and I can’t wait to meet him. I look forward to sharing parenthood with Keith and beginning this next adventure together.

My maternity leave: While I know I’ll have a lot to do with the baby, I’m also looking forward to getting into some new habits that will benefit me and my son. I’m eager to begin this next chapter of my life.

The Blue Jays winning the World Series: Hey, a girl can dream, right?
