52 in ’15: A Long Way Down

This is part of my 2015 reading challenge. You can find an explanation of the challenge here, with a list of all the types of books I plan to read this year. Here’s what I’ve read so far. This book is a book that became a movie.

A Long Way Down A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I watched the movie over the holidays on Netflix because hey, nothing says the Christmas holidays like a movie about for people who want to kill themselves. I really enjoyed the movie, and like Nick Hornby, so thought I’d check out the book.

The book was different from the movie, but not in a bad way. Having seen the movie first, I was able to appreciate the changes that were made for the movie and why they were made.

The book flips between the four narrators for each chapter. All characters are really well sketched out. I thought the ending of the book kind of dragged, but I guess that’s to be expected.
