Yes, it’s chicklit, but sometimes we all need a little chicklit in our lives, right?
Arranged tells the store of Anne, who decides to pay for an arranged marriage. The usual ups and downs come after she makes her decision and heads toward her wedding day. I didn’t see the twist coming, but it set up for a perfect fairy tale ending.
Arranged also made me think about this notion of romantic love and whether we place too much importance on it in our society. I wish the book had delved more into that, as it appeared it would be doing for a few chapters.
If you’re looking for a quick, easy read with a likeable heroine, this is definitely worth picking up.
